In order to become certified you will need to take one of Texas Animal Health Commission’s CWD Sample Collector Trainings. The classes are typically 2 hours long and one learns how to properly collect the obex and retro lymph nodes for CWD testing as well as how to set up an account with TVMDL and package and ship samples.  The link below is something TAHC sends out to all of their participants in case they ever need a refresher.
