HR 490 Recognizes the Outstanding Efforts of the Texas Deer Association
Today, dozens of TDA members across the state gathered at the State Capitol in Austin to hear the reading of HR 490. This resolution recognizes the outstanding efforts of the Texas Deer Association in “ensuring the successful and ethical management of deer herds in the Lone Star State.” Thank you to Rep. John Kuempel, HD 44 (Guadalupe and Wilson Counties) for sponsoring this resolution.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The members of the Texas Deer Association are providing a vital service to Texas hunters and landowners, preserving the integrity and sustainability of the state ’s natural resources through their many dedicated efforts; and
WHEREAS, Founded in 1999, TDA serves as the voice of deer enthusiasts across Texas and as one of the state ’s leading defenders of hunting and property rights; TDA members work diligently to increase quality opportunities for all hunters, advocating for wise management practices and promoting innovative and effective techniques that ensure the welfare and health of deer populations in the state; and
WHEREAS, The work of these dedicated conservationists makes a positive economic and ecological impact in numerous communities; moreover, TDA has benefited veterans, youth, and disabled hunters through its many outreach programs, and its charitable initiatives include providing venison for food distribution programs and funding scholarships for students statewide; and
WHEREAS, The members of the Texas Deer Association have tirelessly devoted themselves to ensuring the successful and ethical management of deer herds in the Lone Star State, and this worthwhile organization is indeed deserving of recognition for its important achievements; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas Legislature hereby honor the Texas Deer Association and extend to the organization sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for the association as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
